Anela AI stopped or went quiet

What you see: the Building card sits on “Thinking for” with the count climbing, or the build ends with a note that Anela AI stopped, was stopped, or went quiet.

Inside a build Anela AI calls an AI model, and one call can take a minute or two with nothing visible happening. The card keeps counting. A big request, such as a whole new site, can run ten or twenty minutes, but you see steps arriving in the chat along the way.

Silence that runs far past a couple of minutes, with no steps arriving. When that happens Anela stops the turn on its own and tells you in the chat. Nothing is lost: everything Anela AI finished before the silence is saved as a version.

  • The AI model provider stalled. The answer never came back. This is the common one, and it is outside Anela. Only what the model used is charged.
  • Anela restarted while your build ran. We update Anela often. A build is normally picked up and continued after a restart; when it cannot be, the turn ends and you are not charged for it.
  • Anela AI hit a limit for one turn and stopped.
  1. If the count is under a few minutes, wait. It is thinking.
  2. If the build ended, press Try again on the card (it asks Anela AI to continue where it left off), or send continue or the same request again. Anela AI remembers what it was doing and picks up from there.
  3. Look at the preview and at Checkpoints in the header. Often more got done than the chat suggests.
  4. If the same request stalls twice, split it into smaller messages, or switch to another mode under the chat box. Some models are steadier on long builds than others.
  5. If builds stall for every request, check status.anela.ai, and tell us through Report in the editor.
