See who visits your site
Once your site is published, it counts its visits, and the Analytics tab shows them. Open a project, press Files, and choose Analytics.
What it shows
Section titled “What it shows”At the top, current visits says how many people have your site open right now. Under it you pick a period: the last 24 hours, or the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Days follow your own time zone.
Five numbers sum up the period:
- Visits: how many times someone came to your site.
- Page views: every page opened, including pages opened inside the site.
- Views per visit: page views divided by visits.
- Visit duration: the average time your site was on screen during a visit.
- Bounce rate: the share of visits that saw only one page.
Click a number to see it on the chart, one point per hour or per day.
Below the chart, four lists show where the visits came from:
- Source: the site a visitor came from, such as instagram.com or google.com, or the
utm_sourceof a tagged link. Direct means neither: a typed address, a bookmark, or an app that hides where the visitor came from. - Page: your most viewed pages.
- Device: computer, phone or tablet.
- Country: where visitors were, as Cloudflare reads it.
The numbers update every minute. Visits are kept for 90 days.
Before you publish
Section titled “Before you publish”Visits appear here while your published site is live. If your address is still being set up or is unavailable, the tab shows its current state instead of visit numbers. Previews of your project are never counted, including yours.
How visits are counted
Section titled “How visits are counted”Anela counts visits at the address that serves your published site, so it works on your free address and on your own domain alike, and nothing in your project changes. There are no cookies, nothing is stored on your visitors’ devices, and no IP addresses are kept. Bots and link previews are not counted.
The price of counting without cookies: a reload, or the same site open in a second tab, counts as a new visit, and a visitor whose browser blocks scripts is not counted. The numbers are close, but not exact.
