AI inside your site

Your site can have AI of its own: a helper that writes a story opening, a tool that tightens a paragraph, a picture maker, a portrait painted from a photo the visitor uploads (a pet as a royal portrait, a selfie as a cartoon), a video maker, a voice button, a chat. Ask Anela AI for the feature in plain words. It works in your preview right away, with no keys and nothing to set up, and each use is paid from your Anela credits.

Where your site can use AI

Open a project, press Files, go to the Integrations tab and choose AI. You can pick:

• Off. Your site does not use AI.
• Preview only. Only you can use it while you build, and so can anyone you send a preview link to, until the link expires.
• Preview and live site. This is where every site starts. Everyone who visits your published site can use it, up to a daily limit, and each use is paid from your credits.

When a build adds an AI feature, a card under Anela AI’s reply offers the same choices: Preview only, Use my own key or Keep it on. Your choice applies to the next use. You do not need to publish again.

Turning it off for your live site

When your site uses AI, the publish sheet says AI is on for your live site, with its daily limit. Press Turn off for the live site to keep it in your preview only, or choose Preview only in the AI panel at any time. If you turned it off, the publish sheet offers Turn on for the live site again.

Who pays

• My Anela credits. The same credits you build with. A text answer costs a small fraction of a credit; a picture costs more.
• My own OpenRouter key. Paste your key and OpenRouter bills you directly. No credits are used, and the daily limit does not apply.

On the Free plan, your site’s AI uses the same daily and monthly Free credits as building.

The daily limit

Your live site starts with a daily limit of 20 credits; your own use in the preview has no limit until you choose. A limit you keep when you choose counts your preview use too. Change it, or leave the box blank for no limit: then your site’s AI runs as long as you have credits. Used today shows what it has used so far.

When your site cannot use AI, because it is off, the daily limit is reached or your credits ran out, visitors see “AI is not available right now. Please try again later.” They are never told about your credits or your limit.

Voice and reading aloud

When your site reads something aloud, like a story, a lesson or an audio guide, Anela AI records it in a natural voice while it builds your site. The recordings are published with your site: they start at once, sound the same on every phone and computer, and cost nothing each time someone listens. Recording costs about a quarter of a credit for each minute of audio, once. It shows in Billing under App AI as your preview’s use, and Anela AI records even when your site’s AI is Off, because it is part of building your site.

Words your site makes while someone uses it, like a story the AI writes with a child’s name, are read aloud on the spot by your site’s AI, under the same choices and daily limit as above.

Songs and music

Anela AI can make real songs and music for your site: a lullaby, a sing-along with its own original words, a theme, a quiet background track. Songs your site keeps are made once while it builds, for a few credits each, and published with your site, so they play for free. A song made while someone uses your site, like one with a child’s name in it, costs a few credits each time. Songs are always paid from your credits, even if you use your own OpenRouter key, and they never copy a real song or artist.

Videos

Your site’s AI can make short videos for the people who use it, from a description or starting from one of their photos. Each clip is 1 to 15 seconds and takes from half a minute to a few minutes to make. A longer film is several clips, each paid.

Videos are expensive to make: about 1 credit for each second of video, so a 10-second video costs about 8 credits. A live site’s daily limit of 20 credits, or the Free plan’s 10 credits a day, pays for only a few. Videos are always paid from your credits, even if you use your own OpenRouter key.

Your site keeps the videos it makes, even when the visitor leaves before one is ready, and Download data includes them. Anyone with a video’s link can watch it, like an unlisted video.

Voice input

Your site’s AI can turn speech into text: a voice button that writes down what a visitor says, a chat they can talk to, or the words of an audio file they choose, up to 10 minutes. It costs a small fraction of a credit a minute. The browser asks the visitor once to allow the microphone.

See what it used

Open Billing and choose App AI under Recent activity. It lists each day, each site and whether the use came from your preview or your live site.
