What Anela does not do yet
A guide that only lists what works is not much of a guide. These are the things people ask for that do not exist yet, with what you can do instead. When one of them ships, it leaves this page.
Working together
Section titled “Working together”- Team members and collaborators. There is no way to invite someone into a project. One account owns its projects. Please do not share a password as a workaround.
- Transferring a project to another Anela account. Not possible yet. Download the code and import it on the other account if you must move it now.
Starting
Section titled “Starting”- A template gallery. There are no templates to pick from and none are planned. Anela starts from a sentence on purpose. If you have a project elsewhere, bring it in.
- An Anela app to install. Anela runs in a web browser, on a computer or a phone. There is nothing in the app stores, and nothing you need to download. Your customers can install your published site as an app on their Android phones: Turn your site into a phone app.
- More than one project without an account. A visitor without an account gets one project and free credits. To start another, create a free account; the project you started comes with you. Your account.
Publishing
Section titled “Publishing”- A single Unpublish button. To take a site offline, open Domains on the dashboard and take the address offline or disconnect it. The address is held for 30 days so nobody else can take it.
- Editing a published site directly. A published site is a copy. Change the project and publish again.
Building
Section titled “Building”- Restoring your database to an earlier state. A restore puts your code back to that version, and nothing else. Your data stays as it is. For a change that touches data, ask for a plan first and read it.
- Choosing which GitHub organization a repository lands in. Repositories are created on the GitHub account you signed in with. Sync with GitHub.
- Connecting GitHub once for every project. Each project connects on its own for now.
Asking for something
Section titled “Asking for something”Press Report in the editor and choose An idea. We keep count, and build the most requested things first.
